Very friendly people, food good but not outstanding. It made me sad to see a lot of items with a Tex mex spin but promising to be authentic Mexican food. I'm Mexican, so here's the easiest way to know it's not Mexican food: Mexicans do not use cheddar cheese, it's always white. Burritos don't have anything on top, you eat them with your hands and they don't have lettuce inside. Tacos are always made in soft corn tortillas.

Even before we moved to Olive Branch a few months ago, we came to Guadalajara Grill frequently. My husband and coworkers pass by 5 Mexican places on the way to here a couple times a month, its also a favorite place to take the kids and grand-kids when they are visiting. We havent' been disappointed yet.

I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food. However, this place was an absolute delight. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly, and the food was awesome. I don't think I have ever had a better quesadilla. We will definantly be going back.

The food good, prices ok, but the waiters never check on you. Better than the other one across the street next to China place.

I love this place!!!!! We moved to Olive Branch 12 years ago and this was one of the only places open at that time on the corner of Hacks and Goodman. We have been eating here at least 10 times a year since we moved here! Sometimes many more! I have seen the menu evolve to what it has today over time. They have added tons of new items to try. The menu has gotten almost ridiculous in the amount of offerings they have. They now have hot wings! Really? Anyway, over the years I have bounced around all over the menu and cannot ever remember eating something that I did not enjoy. Their chips are light, crispy, thin, and fresh! Bang! That in itself is reason enough but the salsa is pretty good too. Nowhere near the best I've had but it'll do. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tamales, soups, and soups are all on point. Lately, I'm hooked on the Chipotle Shrimp. It's just simply awesome! Just the right heat and creamy texture. Big fat plump juicy shrimp too! It's hard to get away from it. Order what you want, I feel pretty confident you will like it! My wife recently had a tortilla soup that had grilled cheeses, dried peppers, little crunchy's, avocado, and sour cream on the side. It was pretty and delicious all at the same time. We also shared the fried ice cream. All in all this is a solid place. Go here!

We absolutely love Guadalajara Grill. The food is super fresh and VERY tasty. Their drinks are very good as well. This place is definitely worth the drive and even more so if you're in the area. We live in Germantown and drive down here just to eat here. Granted it's not THAT far but still. We pass probably a half dozen Mexican restaurants along the way. GO!!!

Got into town late on a Sunday. Just a lot of fast food available.... and Guadalajara. I really wish the folks at my hotel (located just across the street) would've let me know about this place!! Just good, well made, Mexican food. Nice clean casual atmosphere and the place was quite busy for a late Sunday night. I (mistakenly) said "large" when ordering my must have Margarita... and it was. Probably the largest I've seen and well worth the challenge. Anyway, nothing fancy, nothing special. Just a great, relaxing and enjoyable restaurant.

Another Olive Branch favorite! Other than Osaka across the street we ate here more than any other place while living in Cordova TN. Service was always excellent, chips and salsa wonderful. Nothing on the menu is bad, we loved everything. Good authentic Mexican food in MS. Food comes out fast and hot, and everything is priced well. Great food at Guadalajara, don't miss out!

Friendly staff, ambiance is appropriate for the type of restaurant, food is okay in comparison to Mexican food in California but probably the best I've tasted in Memphis though. Prices are very affordable so overall great place to eat!

A five minute drive that USED to be totally worth it. I was obsessed with Guad until my last experience there. We went the night before Easter.. I ordered a frozen margarita and got a warm one (don't worry I still drank it).. My boyfriend never received the beer he ordered, my father and mother never got their water, just their alcohol (I mean alcohol is hydrating, right?)... It took forever to get chips and cheese dip. Then our food took even longer and each of our dishes came out 5 minutes after the other... We still enjoyed our food, it was frustrating never getting refilled drinks and waiting for our check FOREVER after we were finished... I will probably go back because of its convenience and because I have only had 1 bad experience here..

I would come for lunch at Guadalajara Grill once a week with my coworkers. The margaritas here are the best. My favorite was the Pomegranate margarita, they don't have that flavor in order mexican restaurants. (trust me I've looked) Everything in the menu is delicious, especially the molcajete. The lunch menu is very cheap. The waiters are very friendly. Once they gave all of us free dessert for being regular customers. They are quick in bringing your food. The inside is decorated very pretty. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Enjoyed the meal. Bar bill was higher than the food...

Pretty mediocre. Chips, salsa and entree were all okay but nothing that really makes me want to go back. I'll give the other Mexican places a try first. Service was average.

Great service, friendly staff! . The food was Mediocre at best, far from being considered authentic. Taco bell would be closer to authentic . Fair price point considering the quality of the food. The Margaritas were watered down, drank two never tasting the tequila and never achieved the slightest buzz.

The staff was attentive and friendly. The chips were light, crispy, with very little salt. The salsa was served in a carafe and was sweet and fresh. I ordered the shrimp el diablo and loved the sauce. The shrimp were cooked to satisfaction. The rice was just okay. The decor was surprisingly cool for a strip mall Mexican place. There is a neat brick partition in the middle. I ordered an iced tea (unsweetened of course) which came in a large glass which was refilled after I drank half. They had Splenda. If I lived/worked in the area I'd probably be at this place about once per week. I was very happy with my experience.

Food came out quick and was good as usual. Ordered the Chipotle Shrimp and it is GREAT! My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was also very good and was homemade. The service is friendly as usual and everyone is eager to serve. The only drawback to this place is something that drives me crazy at restaurants. WOBBLY TABLES. 75% of the times we eat there we get a table that wobbles like crazy. And with a 4 year old and a 1 year old it is a nightmare trying to keep the table from moving.

Guadalajara Grill doesn't deserve the strip mall Judgement I gave it when I first saw it off the road. I'd been working at a camp for 12 weeks and was desperate for actual Mexican food and it was the closest option that may have suited nearby. I walked in and was immediately surprised by the authentic decor and pleasant Mexican vibe the place radiated. The staff was friendly and welcoming and our party of five was sat at a nice, mosaic tiled table in their calmingly lit dining room. The menu was large, almost overwhelmingly so, but you certainly can't fault them for lack of selection. Their free salsa and chips were very good and served to distract me and my party from actually figuring out an order. The atmosphere is not one to discourage people from talking an having fun, I must add. I ended up ordering chipotle shrimp and found it to be very good, albeit spicy. The terrier beans were a tad runny, bit aside from that I, nor my party had anything to complain about. The service was very good and we never wanted for drinks or waited for checks. We were shocked at how small the bill was and noted it for future goings out. The Guadalajara Grill should not be looked over for it's location. It's a delicious restaurant that stands out amongst a town packed full of Mexican options.

Margaritas are exceptionally good. Very nice family run restaurant. Server was friendly and attentive. The chips are very thin and crispy. Enjoyed the Guadalajara Burrito. The guacamole was good but I prefer a few avocado chunks and finely diced tomatoes in my guac. If I am ever in Olive Branch again I will eat here!

I just love a place where your enourmous margarita is more than your dinner:) I've been a couple of times and have been happy with the food and service. It's a fun atmosphere and close to home for me, so we will be back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
